She will move mountains

We recently decided that Daisy’s room needed a little bit of a make-over. I knew the colours we’d like to use – grey and pink – but wasn’t sure exactly how we would use them. Very last minute I decided to grab some masking tape and make some mountains. I love the quote; Let her sleep, for when she wakes she will move mountains. So it deemed appropriately fitting. Daisy enjoyed helping me strip her mustard yellow wallpaper and putting it all into the bin. She kept getting a little bored and explained to her dollies that mummy was being naughty by messing up the wall. I may post up a little DIY of this project if anyone is interested. It’s pretty simple and straight forward though.

Daisy is such a strong character and these mountains on her wall fit so well with her personality. She will move mountains one day. She already does. She wakes up every morning and her little brain knows exactly what she wants to achieve and what she wants to do. She’s demanding and stressful at times (most of the time) but she’s strong and powerful. I tell her every day that she’s strong, brave, kind, smart and beautiful. Beautiful being the least important. I used to have such low self esteem (still do) but I never make Daisy aware of this. She needs a strong role model and if I believe that I am beautiful then she will hopefully grow up following those footsteps.

Daisy challenges me every second she’s awake. She’s a good girl but she likes to test boundaries and she likes to talk. Non-stop. She tires me out a lot but if she carries on portraying this amount of confidence then she will go far in life. She will go far anyways, but with a little confidence life seems that bit easier.  Most of the time, all our children need is someone to believe in their every step and be one step behind them cheering them on. I believe Daisy will move mountains, and with that belief she will.
