It’s been a while since I wrote on here – my blog has taken a little bit of a backseat. Every time I open a blank word document ready to write, the words just disappear – I think that’s one of the main reasons I love photography. Sometimes I don’t need words, the photos do the talking for me. After getting back from our last trip to Rome, I made sure we had a little spare time to head to a pumpkin patch before everyone broke up from school – we decided to head to The Pop Up Farm on a Sunday and what better reason to dress Daisy up in her new JoJo Maman Bebe clothes?! It’s only over the past few years that pumpkin picking seems to have taken off in the UK. We never had this when I was little (Oh wow, do I feel old now!) and so it’s a lovely tradition to look forward to each year.
We don’t really celebrate or do much for halloween – I’m just not that into it. I love pumpkin picking and everything that comes alongside the Autumn season, but I just don’t feel that enthusiastic about Halloween. We still make sure we do something special/out of the ordinary with Daisy so that she can experience the fun that comes alongside dressing up as something ‘scary’. But pumpkin picking is the perfect opportunity to get out the winter coats, wrap up warm, grab a hot chocolate and pick yourselves a pumpkin. The only issue I had with The Pop Up Farm was how expensive the pumpkins were. (Something to consider if you decide to visit this year or next).
