After coming across Amber’s post on her blog, The Goblin Child, and being redirected to Kate’s post from Pouting in heels, I thought that this was a great idea and something I wanted to write up for myself. It’s a list of all the things in our lives that are non-negotiable. All the little things that make us happy and content, obviously family and friends come first – but that goes without saying. The name of the list speaks for itself really, these are things that I quite simply, won’t negotiate.
Tea | The first thing I tend to think about before getting out of bed in the morning. I’m not a morning person and Tea is what drags me up and helps me get ready with a toddler in tow. It’s just like a warm hug in a mug. I’m not much of a plain coffee drinker, though I do enjoy a caramel latte or a flat white espresso. But there’s nothing better of an evening than getting home and putting Daisy to bed, then cuddling up on the sofa with a nice hot cup of tea and a movie.
Photography | I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. I’ll always remember my first ever camera. (It was this one if you’re interested) Now whenever I go anywhere I have to have my camera in my bag just incase. I don’t ever want to miss the perfect photo opportunity and there’s nothing I love more than catching the most ordinary of moments on camera. My 50mm f1.4 is my baby and it’s the most wonderful lens which hardly ever leaves my camera.
Burgers | If we go out and burgers aren’t on the menu I get a little annoyed. I would just live on burgers if I could but I’m pretty sure Andrew wouldn’t allow that for my own health. A nice beef burger stacked with salad and cheese with a nice seeded bun. Ohh, I can’t think of anything better to eat!
Holidays | It doesn’t matter whereabouts I go, but a holiday is a necessity for me. Travel is in by bones, I constantly have the travel bug and if I’m not jetting away on a plane at least once a year then I really don’t feel myself. I always think that no matter how much money I don’t have, I’ll always somehow spare enough money to travel somewhere.
What’s on your non-negotiable list?
