A little while ago we were invited to Mr Mulligans Crazy Golf as a family of four. Andrew didn’t really fancy it so I took along my lovely best friend of about 10 years (I’ve lost track of time!) and her little boy Zachary. We went to the stevenage Lost World course and really enjoyed it! Situated in Stevenage leisure park, we obviously had to start the morning off with a McDonalds breakfast – starting the morning in style. We then headed over to Mr. Mulligan’s golf and were the first ones there. We had a choice between the jungle or ocean course and decided to go with the ocean one as there are more holes downstairs rather than upstairs – perfect when taking along two three-year-olds! We played an 18 hold adventure course and it was definitely a little challenging, to begin with.
Daisy likes to be miss independent and so she insisted on doing it all by herself (took a while of course!). Zachary enjoyed running ahead onto the next hole. Luckily it wasn’t very busy so we could take our time. We let the little ones play and we just helped to assist. I love mini golf and will 100% have to go back without any little ones so that we can play properly. I LOVED the detail that has gone into creating the setting for each hole and in particular, we loved the UV room. It was quite hard to take photos (as you can see from the awfully dark images below) but the UV room was great. It had a large and bright orange octopus which the little ones loved to climb on. We also really liked the little pirate’s boat too! I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the kids try and get us to take a look at a Golf game or simulator for the games room back at home. At $1000+ USD, let’s hope it’s a few years from now…!
It wasn’t until the last few holes that Daisy and Zachary got really into the swing of things. But by then it was almost time for us to head home as Daisy had preschool. After finishing the course we headed straight into their little on-site cafe and finished off our morning with ice-cream. The staff here are lovely and the facilities are generally very clean! It was definitely a very fun morning and one that we’ll have to repeat in a few week’s time! I could see the concentration on Daisy’s face – she’s a determined little soul and I know that she’ll enjoy visiting again soon. There’s plenty of facilities (I’ve listed them below) and with it costing only $2 for under 3’s – it’s a perfectly affordable morning out!
