It’s the little things linky | Road trip + wanderings

Welcome to another week of It’s The Little Things Linky hosted by Lauren and myself. Thank you again to everyone that joined in last week – I’ve been away so I haven’t had a chance to look through each post properly and find my favourites. But I’ll be catching up over the next few days! It’s February 14th today so Happy Valentines day to all my lovely readers. What better day for ‘It’s The Little Things’ linky to fall on! Me and my other half don’t really celebrate Valentine’s day but I work for a local florist and so I’m busy helping them with their social media. It’s not that I have anything against it, it’s just not a day that we go all out for. We’ve had a great week away (blog posts to follow soon!) and so we’ll just class that as our little valentines week – haha. Anyways! I can’t wait to read what made everyone else’s week amazing. Have a lovely Tuesday and we hope to see you linking up again next week.

Road trip – Is there anything better than setting off on a long car journey – blasting out the music, sipping on Starbucks coffee and just watching the views fly past. There’s so much I love about driving and one them is long journeys . I just love the idea of setting out on a journey and getting comfortable whilst blasting out the tunes. We went on a mini road trip and Daisy slept the whole way – each way – which was perfect! We managed to enjoy the journey instead of be reassuring Daisy that it wasn’t long until we go there. We loved it so much we are already planning our next road trip! Some friends of ours who live in Kansas have invited us to hit the roads with them. After spending a while looking for used cars in Hutchinson, KS, they have just bought a new vehicle that is perfect for road trips so I cannot wait to see their new car in person really soon!

Wandering without a purpose – It’s so easy to forget everything that’s around you. We’ll quite often look for places to visit that are further away. But over the past few days we’ve enjoyed having not a lot to do and just wandering around our local towns. We always seem to have something to do so it’s been nice to not have anything that needs to be done and just take life easy for a few days.

Half term – I was a little worried about half term to begin with – this is the first week of working from home whilst having a toddler full time. But after the panic set in I actually felt really excited! I get to spend the whole week with my crazy little nutter and take her out nice places without the rush of preschool or going to her childminders. We’re going to take it easy, meet up with friends and have girly coffee dates together. Perfect! It definitely is the little things.
