It’s the little things 10/52

Welcome to another week of It’s the little things hosted by Lauren and myself. If you’re new here then this linky is a place to link up all the little things during the week that have made you smile. I love sitting down and contemplating the little things that have made my week worth while! I’m hosting this week so link up below. But be sure to head on over and check our Lauren’s post too. My favourite from last week is by Abbie from Lilypad & Bow. She posted some beautiful spring-like photos of her son – her blog is beautiful, I definitely recommend checking it out. I’ve felt really tired and exhausted this past week and I’m not sure why. I feel a bit down in the dumps and as petty and pathetic as it may sound, I feel like it’s because I need a break/holiday. A bad case of the travel bug! I sometimes find it hard to switch off and I think that may be why I’m so exhausted at the moment.

IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS

A wedding – I spent the day filming a wedding on Saturday. It was for the lovely Natalie and Robin – (Natalie blogs over at Diary of an unexpectant mother) It was an absolutely stunning day set at in a gorgeous local barn. I loved being a part of their big day and freezing moments in time that they will look back on and cherish for a long time. Everyone was dressed beautifully, especially the bride. Her dress reminded me of one I’d seen on a website online. To find more info about Natalie’s dress, you should be able to find pictures of it on her blog if she uploads any pictures. I’m sure the pictures will be amazing, but for now, I’m really enjoying editing together the video for them! I love filming and editing – so it’s less of a job and more of a pleasure. I’ll hopefully post it once I have finished!

A surprise delivery – I’ve never felt appreciated in a job before, and so when a client sends you flowers for all your hard work it really does mean a lot. A huge bouquet of beautiful flowers turned up at my door after completing a project for a local florist I work for. They’re absolutely beautiful and smell divine. It makes me feel valued and in return makes me want to work harder!

A family meal – On Sunday we met up with family and had a meal out in a local village. Daisy was well behaved and it was lovely to catch up with family we don’t see all that often. I had the loveliest hot chocolate and a gorgeous honeycomb cheesecake for pudding – I want to go back just for that!
