Kidloland app review

Over the past few months we have been testing out the Kidloland app. We jumped at the opportunity to review it as at the time, Daisy was slightly attached to the Youtube Kids app on the iPad. Kidloland is loaded with various games, nursery rhymes, stories, songs and puzzles. It’s aimed towards pre-school children and toddlers and the creators/developers have put a lot of consideration into how they can make learning fun for this age range. Possibly one of my favourite things about this app is the fact you can download specific content so that you can use it when there’s no wifi around. This is a bonus for traveling and I really wish we’d known about Kidloland before we started traveling more with Daisy! It will come in so handy for the next trip.

The first thing that really got me interested was the educational side of it. There’s only so much Daisy can learn from watching people role-play with barbies! As much as she has learnt from the Youtube Kids app, I felt she could definitely learn a lot more from Kidloland. At first she wasn’t particularly keen on it. It will sometimes take Daisy a while to get into something new, she likes routine. But after a while the colourful animation really caught her attention and she gave in and started to enjoy it more.

Her favourite game is a tracing game that you can see pictured below. It works it’s way through the alphabet whilst your little one can trace the letter with the fruit that appears on the screen. After they have traced the letter it will then say what letter it is. Daisy really enjoyed repeating and trying to guess what letter she was about to trace. She also really enjoyed the popping game – a game where fruit is dropped down from the top of the screen and the aim is to pop them before they hit the bottom. She found this game really amusing and got her giggling! Another favourite is a hatching game – where they simply tap an egg several times until it hatches a dinosaur. Sounds a little boring but she loved it!

You can download Kidloland app on Android or iOS . It is free to download and provides users with some great free content. To gain access to the full app you can purchase a subscription for just £3.99 a month. You can also receive a free 7 day trial to check if it’s something your child will enjoy.

This does look and sound very good, though too young for our 7 year old. #weekendblogshare
