Hello, Kristof – Lisbon, Portugal
If you’ve been following us on Instagram then you’ve probably noticed that we’ve recently visited the beautiful city of Lisbon in Portugal. If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll also know that I LOVE Rome and have mentioned several times that it is my favourite place in the world. It still is. But it’s now got a very close second favourite – Lisbon is stunning and somewhere I’ve totally fallen head over heels in love with. We’ll have several posts about Lisbon and how you can make the most out of your time there. We’re also hoping to head back there and see more as there’s so much to discover.
On our last day we discovered a little coffee shop; Hello Kristof. These places are my favourite. The kind that act as hidden gems. Hiding between narrow cobbled streets and unless you see it – you won’t know it’s there. This coffee shop, with it’s Scandinavian inspired interior, is nestled in the district of Santa Catarina. They serve freshly roasted coffee and delicious cakes and sandwiches. They have a range of gorgeous independent magazines to pick from whilst you get comfy and enjoy your coffee. (I’m a huge independent magazine lover and so what better combination?!)
We actually managed to sit in this coffee shop for a good hour or two. It was one of those that you start to sink into the chair and let your mind wander off into an incredibly relaxing place. They are very child friendly and Daisy enjoyed sipping on a fresh orange juice, eating a cookie and playing with her Barbies. The trams also go straight past the coffee shop doors and so it’s very picturesque to watch the world go by.
Heading to Lisbon? I can’t recommend it enough. Don’t forget to visit ‘Hello, Kristof’ – just click the address above and google maps will walk you there!
