A little while ago we worked with Photowall in order to spruce up our bedroom. If you’ve followed my blog for a while then you may know that I love interior, but I also get bored really quickly. We have a feature wall in every room because I feel it brings character to a home and creates a different atmosphere for each room. In our bedroom we had a teal blue colour, it lasted a good year without me feeling the need to change it. When I spotted this botanical wallpaper from Photowall, I knew straight away that it would go incredibly well in my bedroom. I went out to see a friend one day and Andrew surprised me by putting it up. We both hate wallpapering but he said how easy it was and he actually found it therapeutic. I’m just secretly happy I got out of doing it!
What I loved about this wallpaper was how it came with everything. We didn’t have to go out and buy anything at all (which we usually end up doing because we’re silly and never prepared!) It came with a wallpaper kit which included a brush for applying glue, a seam roller for making the seams invisible, a paperhanging brush for smoothing the strips, a knife and cutting guide for trimming excess wallpaper, plus a spirit level, a pencil and a tape measure. The wallpaper paste is also included!
Photowall wallpapers are so easy to order, too. Simply measure the wall you want to cover and type in the measurements and material. (You can pick from standard and premium). You then receive the exact amount that you need – this was perfect as not only did it create less mess, but you know exactly what bit goes where. If that makes any sense! The paste is applied directly to the wall – we didn’t know this when wallpapering before but oh my goodness, it was so much easier. The numbered panels are hung edge to edge and all their wallpapers are 45 cm wide – they also have some incredibly handy video tutorials online, so if you haven’t ever wallpapered before, then I recommend checking out the videos.
Photowall is a Swedish company with a passion for design and quality. Their wall murals and canvas prints are environmentally friendly, fire-retardant in accordance with Swedish standards and do not fade in sunlight (something I find a lot of average wallpapers do). We are so impressed with photowall that we can’t ever see ourselves using another wallpaper company!
